Default 95' 5.8 in a 83 GT

Hello to everyone, a new GT owner here. I recently got an 83 GT with a tire 5.0HO. The body is poor, but I have decided to fix it up. I have a 95' 5.8 out of an F150 in the garage. It needs heads/valve job. My question is this, is that 95' 5.8 a decent platform ? I don't want a drag only car. Looking for decent driveability, it's a 4 speed carb'd car. I plan on a carb for the 5.8, Edlebrock RPM air gap, upgraded cam, headers etc. I already have a nice Holly Vac Sec 750. What are your thoughts on the 5.8 ?

Thanks, J.

Seems like they were made for each other. Check out the Fox/SN tech section. There's a sub forum for doing these swaps. All you need to know, Good Luck.

Just noticed your from Wisconsin, where abouts ?
