{NEED ADVICE}} Convincing My Parents To Help Buy Me A 2015 Ford Mustang
Ok, so my parents don't feel to fond of a ford mustang. Can anyone help me convince them to buy me one? I just want a "2015 Ford Mustang V6". It is $21,000. I have offered to buy the car and pay for it if they will pay $140 insurance. I'll pay gas and everything just if they handle the insurance. The only problem is my mom sat in a mustang with me as I test drove it and the look and power of it scared the crap out of her. My plan was trading in my truck for like $2,000 & putting $5,000 down. Does anyone have some good advice for meh?

Keep the truck and save every penny you can till you can afford to buy it without help from the parents.
And by waiting it will show conviction and maturity that might get them to change their minds and help you out.
Good luck.

Is it because you can't afford the insurance? rule numero uno is if you can't afford the insurance you shouldn't buy it.. I know how you feel man, I'm 17 and really wanted a newer stang, but after a lot of thinking I settled with a G, I'd keep the truck and ride er till she dies, all while saving up what you can for a stang.... and go with a GT, lol

As a parent of 4, my advice is to stay out of debt as much as possible. Some things are unavoidable, house payments, student loans for some, medical bills, etc. But a new car is a luxury, it is wanted, not needed. I'd look for a Mustang you can afford completely by your self.
Good luck

First off, How old are you?
Second, why should your parents pay so you can get a new car? Whats wrong with your current veh, which im guessing they bought for you based on your post.
My guess is your parents love and care about you because it sounds like you drove like a complete idiot on the test drive and this is why they said no.

I wasn't even allowed to drive my parents car. Had to buy my own when I turned 18. $400 for a 69' Nova.
You don't buy it, you won't fully appreciate it. Didn't get mine until the kids left home...depressing I know but it's real man.....

Damn, $400 for a '69 nova? that's not too bad, and I agree completely with your comment about it not being real life^ so thankful for everyone on this forum and others who talked me out of financing for my ride, and even though I didn't end up with a Mustang I can still look forward to the future
