Default Seat bracket

I have a 97 mustang and the bracket that holds the back of the seat to the rail broke at the rail bolt where it pivots. This happened while the car was left at a parking lot where the cars are moved around by attendants. The power seat back and forward function had been disabled due to the seat would go back but not forwards. Not sure how this happened but am guessing that it had to be blunt force on the seat that broke the bracket. Would forcing the back of the seat backwards or kicking the seat do this?
