Question 2010 GT 4-Year Storage?

I am enlisted for 4 years and don't see myself being able to take the mustang for the duration of my stay soo any thoughts on a 4-year period storage? 80k Miles and I don't mind any of the hard labor when I come back.

Sell it and when you get back, treat yourself to a newer model and thank you for your service, sir.

If your car is a convertible, store it with the top up, latched and covered. Covering is to protect the top from UV and bird droppings if it is outside or near windows and against dirt no matter where it is.
Often folks think that if the top is down, it is protected, but the material will shrink if not stretched and a collapsed top is very inviting to insects and rodents.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for your service to this country.

Tough call on storage, but I'm going to say sell it also. Not knowing your storage options out there but the thought of a nice new Mustang when you get out as a treat to yourself would make the decision easier for me. Good luck in whatever you decide.

Are you going overseas for four years?

If so, check your orders; if you get orders outside of CONUS exceeding 24 months the military will ship your one vehicle to your assigned location.
If you don't want to take it, a lot of the time they will store it during your deployment or assignment. You might need amended orders.

If you are not completely attached to the vehicle, selling it would be a better option then storing it for four years. Plus, while overseas you can arrange for a new vehicle when you come back through Military Auto Source.

There are a lot of options out there. Finding what works best for you can take some time. Hit me up if you have some questions. I'm currently deployed and have one in storage and a GT350 on order for when I get back.
