I'm going to upgrade the set up in my 06 GT from the stock Saleen SC it has now to that same SC but with more goodies. In doing research it comes down to doing a host of things from injectors, smaller pulley to CAI and most importantly a good tune (other than the stock Saleen tune I have now). My question is who is better for what I want JMD or Brenspeed? I want a more powerful daily driver, not a track car.
Any input from those who have used these compaies would be greatly appreciated.

is this for a 96 GT or a 2006 GT?

if it's for a 2006 GT w/Series VI s/c, personally
i would choose JDM out of the 2 choices you listed.

I personally consider brenspeed godlike...anyway that's my two cents...short and to the point...

Its a 2006 GT that I already have the Saleen SC installed on. I just need "more power".

Both companies have given me some great info, but there are some differences:
Brenspeed uses a boost-a-pump for the fuel and JDM doesn't and some other small things like that.

I know its a personal choice and everyone has an opinion... I just have no idea and have never dealt with either of them, so I'm looking for feedback from customers of these 2 places so I can make an educated choice.

if you can get the car to either one for a custom dyno tune.... go with that... if your looking for 400+ RWHP I strongly suggest that you get a BAP or GT500 pump to handle the fuel delivery...

If you cant get the dyno tune.... I'd go with a JDM... they are Saleen Specialists and extremely well regarded for their tuning of the 4.6L with Saleen's on top.

If I get the Saleen I'll go with Brenspeed if I go with Whipple or KB then I'll go with...well someone else I suppose since Brent doesnt have Whipple or KB packages.

I live in Maine, not close to anyone... but I have no problem going to JDM or Brenspeed for a custom tune. A road trip is always welcomed in my eyes. Living in Maine (the end of nowhere) means you are going to travel for any type of custom service like this, I'm used to it.

No one has more experience with Saleens than JDM. I don't think anyone including Saleen themselves are able to tune these cars with a Saleen S/C better. In fact, I think JDM has developed the tune for the Saleen Extreme for Saleen. I love Brent and think he is a great tuner, esp for N/A and Centris, and you can't beat his customer service. But there is just no substitute for experience in a particular situation. JDM can E.mail youa tune that you should be very happy with. These S/C are what they do day in and day out and they probably have tuned over 1,000 to date. You don't need to buy the S/C and upgrades from them but getting their tune is a good move.

Thinking about it some more, if it was me starting over with my purchase again, I would purchase the whole kit from Brenspeed and then spend the extra $180 for the JDM tune via Email. This way you could load in each tune and personally compare.
