Stumble when cold

RE: Stumble when cold
Well he has tried different tunes. I'm going to hear from him tomorrow morning (letting the car get cold) with a new tune he has tried. The reason that I do not think it would be the tune is cause the car has had this problem through 2 different shops and multiple tunes? Is there anything specific in the tune? Will KB charge me for a tune that is compatible with my system?

RE: Stumble when cold
it'll be interesting to find out what
is happening here....
this is beyond me at this point.....
i just think that the PCM is not able to
create the correct air/fuel mixture (with
the 60lb injectors), during this short warm
up period....

RE: Stumble when cold
Sorry, I am new to the engine modding scene so excuse me if I say anything that does not make sense[8D]
Now how you say it can not create a correct A/F mixture, would this be able to be read? I am almost positive he said the air to fuel ratio was fine. He drove it and did some data logging while it was cold...

RE: Stumble when cold
this is kind of why i've always
believed, it is best to start with the
s/c kit just as it comes from the
manufacturer.
this gives you a good working reference
of how things should work.
when/if things go sideways, you could return
to your reference point if needed.

RE: Stumble when cold
Well I talked to my tuner last night. He said he has narrowed it down to 3 problems that it could be: 1) he said I have a "tip-in" situation which starves my gas for fuel which is the transient fuel. He can not find it anywhere on my computer to adjust the transient fuel (supposed to call SCT this morning); 2) he also mentioned that when he messed with my car yesterday, he did notice a drop in fuel pressure at points, so it could also be something with the fuel pump or fuel delivery system; or 3) something was not installed correcty (by the first shop). Hopefully this will be resolved soon. I want to enjoy it a couple times before I get another truck for the winter[8D]
