i never went to a track before but it would probably be better to shift it manually as I've nailed it before and the car does shift a little early

Bama's tunes shift at 5900....that's where mine shifts. I actually called Doug to
confirm...he said he sets his tunes to shift at 5900. I heard from other forum
members that Brenspeed tunes shift at 6500. So if you want to shift at higher
rpms, do it manually. You're supposed to be able to adjust the shift points
by increasing the mph when you upload the tune. Didn't work for me, I called
Doug about it and he said the tune is not locked, I don't know..seemed locked
to me..at least the shift point section. I added +2 then +4 in the WOT shift point
section...still shifted at 5900 rpm at around 42mph. I tell ya, shifting manually at
6500...damn the motor sounds sweet.

I've tried shifting manually at WOT and it just didn't seem like it was shifting fast enough when I pushed it into the next gear. I would be afraid to do it at the track without a shiftlight, I don't want to over rev the engine at WOT.

I believe the rev limit is set to 6800 for Doug and Brenspeed. Mines at 6800.
That's another setting that can be changed.

I'm surprised that the FRPP tune (considered to be conservative!) shifts higher (6250 at WOT) than the B@MA tune.....?!

I ran a 13.7 with just an intake and tune, 13.51 with a little exhaust work and i'd be willing to bet I could go 13.20's with a slightly shorter rear tire and a little weight reduction. I did the 13.51 with a almst full gas tank and the spare and jack were in the trunk. Not to mention that I weigh 220lbs....
Wow, I never would have expected that. That is a good time with your mods.
