Spydershafts are lightweight aluminum driveshafts for 05-up mustangs (GT+V6 versions avaiable). They weight about 26-28lbs. less than the stock two piece shaft. this allows the engine to rev quicker while accelerating and drops 1/4 mile times about 2-3 tenths of a second. It's also much stronger than the stock unit.

RE: SPYDERSHAFT INSTALLED !!
I have been following along and have been on the fence as to whether or not I really need to upgrade to a single piece driveshaft.spydershafts conversion is by far the best route to go after reading many posts on many forums about what's available out there.I guess I have been sitting on the fence to long as I just checked his website and see that inflation has kicked in for everyone. Cost goes up and I guess it must be passed along to the end used. $479.00 was a great deal but now it's $519.00. Forty dollar increase. I should of pulled the trigger sooner but oh well.Hopefully after the car comes out of storage this spring the price won't have increased anymore. This not a bash or anythinglike that. Just you wait, you pay.

RE: SPYDERSHAFT INSTALLED !!
There is a driveshaft that weighs in at a meere 19lbs. I almost bought it so I know it's out there. I believe it was made of carbon fiber. $800. The stock shaft is what... 36 lbs? Spyder is 28lbs?... if the Spyder can improve 1/4times by .2 - .3s then what can be expected of a shaft weighing only 19lbs? wouldn't saving a few hundred more for the carbon fiber shaft just be plain smarter as the gains would be, overall, more cost-effective considering you are paying less than half more for double the weight loss/performance gain?
Just a thought.

Thanks for the thread mike and I'm glad to hear you guys got everything worked out.
For guys doing their own installs I now have some inexpensive pullers to help remove the flange.
also adding the p/s delete belts

RE: SPYDERSHAFT INSTALLED !!
hahaha alex i've had some website problems and couldn't get the new stuff added for a while. now it seems to be fixed and i'm putting on all the stuff that i've had sitting here for months.
new stuff that should be on this week:
p/s delete belts
flange puller
and maybe i'll add the flange and bolts seperately also in case someone loses a bolt or something.
the traction bars are ready but haven't gotten any word from the final test subject about his install etc. so i have to wait on that but we'll add those on soon also.
