Welcome to the forums but remember that 70 in a residential neighborhood is not cool for ANY reason...

As for suspension parts, FRPP has a decent list but search around the forums and you'll quickly find names like BMR, Steeda, etc. will be the more recommended choices.

I have complete FRPP FR3 suspension pack on my 07 and I like it.
Car feels way more connected to the road than stock.

+1 Your buddy must have driving a lot faster if you had to keep up with him.We had a guy doing about 60 in our new neighborhood in his tricked out s-197.My neighbor is a cop and he pulled his squad car out and ran him down, had that car impounded and stuffed him in jail for wreckless endangerment. If he had gone over on the next street a cop lives there also.
