GT500 supercharger on a regular GT
Has anyone here done this and what all is involved? I'm wanting to put a GT500 supercharger on my regular GT, and not sure what all I would need to do the swap. Will it swap straight over or will I need some sort of adapter plates or what? Any and all advice is appreciated.

u'll need basically everything, IC, fuel pumps, injectors, flash programmer, etc or in few words you just have the main unit ? for the hassle i'd get a kit designed for this cars, any whipple or KB performs better

dont take this the wrong way, but you are aware that the GT is a 4.6 and the GT500 is a 5.4

Thanks MexGT, that's the kind of info I was asking for. If it was worth even trying or not really...

To adapt that supercharger would be much more troule than it's worth, especially since hte ones designed specifically for our cars work pretty well.
I'd say go with saleen, whipple, kenne bell, etc.

Well, the GT 500 and GT use the same heads, so thus the ports have to match and what not. You might want to ask someone who has experience in working on the GT 500 and the GT because it might work.
Will it be worth it? The only way I can see it being worth it is if you got the GT 500 for a small penny, and all you had to pay for was any adapters and miscellanous stuff to make it work.
Will the KB, Saleen, Whipple, or any other system work better? Possibly as they are aftermarket items designed to be better than OEM items, but nevertheless who would care if you paid 1/4 or less of what the other guys were paying and got a nice gain in power out of it.
Like I said, don't listen to any of us though. Find someone who works on these cars and isn't trying to sell you anything, just get some information.

It most certainly is not a direct bolt on. Even if you could get it to work, you'd be better of getting a KB, Saleen, Whipple, etc; something that is already designed to match up to the 3v 4.6.
This question reminds of the the people who as if they can use the blowers from Terminators on their 2v 4.6 GT's.

You can make this work. Just spend $15,000 on a 5.4 engine with the GT500 blower and then another $6500 on the Tremec six pseed and you will have that blower on your car and working.
Otherwise it aint bolting up to your three valve heads.
