Default Different Head And Spark Plug Design

It appears that Ford is finally admitting that they erred big time on the head design for the 05, 06, and earlier 07 S197's.
The thread is in another forum that cannot be linked from this forum, butthe forumhas "modular" and "fords" in its name, and thethread has"3V Spark Plugs" in its title.

So does that mean that the plugs in the late '07s and all of the '08s look like the top one in the pic?

When I get a chance, I'll go pull one of mine. I have a build date of 30 april 2007. That's pretty late in the build year, and should give us at least a starting point to tell when they actually changed.

Yep and just so you know. The 10 bolt valve covers dont mean you have the new heads.
Apparently the new 10 bolts also fit the older 14 bolt application so some cars came with the old heads and the new valve covers.
