. That pride of one's car is priceless whether what make model year. Hell i have my fun kicking your know what is my grand national and still get the cocky attitude from mustang owner. I got 2 buddies with 03 cobras both putting down over 700 horses trying to get me to spot them---yeah right! Cold day in u now where before i attempt that.

lol guys i dont think anyone thinks srt8s are slow.. the whole purpose of the thread was what mods we need to KEEP UP WITH your guys stock car!!

That's true the thread did in fact start with "what mods to "catch" an SRT8". It turned into a bashing as soon as someone called the charger a "pig". not so nice... I'm impressed they came over here to defend themselves and did a great job of it IMO.

I would have to agree. They guys that came over from the Charger Forum are welcome anytime. It would be great for them to post up some slips/kills in SS.

I think I put 2-3 posts in here answering the question:

What mods to catch an SRT8 charger?

Answer

CAI and tune along with some DRs. Their stock times are not that much in front of our cars. Properly driven the SRT8 should be able to get into very low 13's stock and the Mustang 13.0-13.1 with the mods above.

I have seen one SRT8 model that I was impressed with. It was a 300c running 11.8 @114. The car looked great, sounded great and the driver was very consistant. I think one of the reasons I have not been impressed is there were alot of people going to the track for their first time getting horrible ETs with their SRT8s. With practice I'm sure that would change.

A head/cam/intake/exhaust/tune/stalled SRT8 will spank alot of the blown Mustangs. But those cars are few and far between.

Yes, entertainment! Clarkson and Top Gear hate american cars, no doubt. They vilefy the mustang and other american cars like the SRT8 300, running it against the M5.
