It means you need to reload the tune each month or so. Not get a new tune. Just plug the SCT up to the car and select program vehicle. This will wipe the adaptive learning stuff in memory.

An alternative would be to disconnect the battery for 15 or so min. The downside to that is that you have to wait at least 15 min and you lose your radios programming and time setting. Reloading the tune takes on a couple min at most.

If you people are getting worse et with the bama race tune because of poor traction I would say you all need some sort of drag radial or slick. Think of what your et would be with that race tune and good traction. I plan on getting the bama intake/tune combo myself. I would have got it this month but had to spend so much money on Christmas. Oh well, family comes before my car but my car is a close 2nd.

I know with my race tune I have A LOT less traction. When I run my torque tune I don't have near as much wheel spin.

Last week at the track, I only got a chance to use the race tune before it started raining. One run I had so much wheel spin, that I had a hard time getting the car into gear. My 60' time was 2.9. Best run was a 60' of 2.3 and 1/8 of 8.8... had some wheel spin. It would be interesting to see what times I could get with drag radials or cheater slicks.

No problems launching with the 93 race tune. Depending on conditions, I just slip the clutch from a 2000-3000 rpm dig, get a little spin, and floor it as soon as she grabs. But I still have the stock 3.55 gears. With 4.10's I'd have to either slip the clutch some more, or launch at lower rpm's.

ok...wait...so if I get a tune from Bama (which I relaly need now with my mods) I haev to get 2 tunes to run one better on the street and one better at the track? That sucks!

Beefrit....take it from one AZer to another...get the 4.10s, I can reccomend a installer that was awesome if you are in the Southern region.

Both tunes are better than stock at both the track and on the streets.

Well I dont have a stock tune. ALl I haev is the C&L tune with their racer intake. Since I haev added teh gears and LTs I figure a lil more custome tune is in order to dial out the power. However, I dont want some canned torque or race tune. I want a tune specific for my car and what I have done. Not to mention the weather here is very different. We haev some elevation AND hot climate during teh SUmmer. I need a tune and company that will set my tune up correct for my bneeds and the mods and weatehr I have. So who is best for that?

I think your best bet would be a dyno tune.

I just recently got a 93 bama race tune. The throttle responce is insane. I don't like it. The car felt alot less torquey compared to my brenspeed tune. When looking down at the speedo they were about equally as fast. But i like to feel the power hit me and push me and my passengers back in the seat, which the bama race didn't do. I plan on trying a bama torque tune soon... but as of now, the brenspeed tune is alot nicer IMO.
