Struggled with it the first 3 passes not being able to get into 4th gear but still ran 11.5s on all three runs. 4th run I let my car cool for a while and then busted out a new best 11.21 at 123.3 mph with a modest 1.55 60 ft. Next run I went out and was doing great through the 1000 ft. A modest 1.54 60 ft with an 1/8th mile of 7.14 at 98.5 mph a whole tenth faster then the run before. But when I went to shift into 4th I blew the trans and coasted to a 11.4 at 103 mph. I was warned that the trans would wear faster from power shifting, but I had know idea that it was going to go that quick. I got the car towed up to JPC ($260) where it was confirmed that it was the transmissions 10 spline imput shaft that went. The car will now get a 26 spline and 4.10s will go in while its there as well. FYI: It was the stock trans.
nab the gt500 tranny i had luck finding one in the junker and took it for 500 bucks, having it built right now and a pruchased a driveshaft aluni for the gt500, imo it hold up to more abuse than the one u currently have.

Gt500 tranny needs a upgraded clucth to 26, u can retain ur flywheel but might as well upgrade to something aluni or resurface it if u prefer steel.

or u can build the stock tranny with better gearing both paths are great.

steeda sells one that go for 3k i think thats a direct boltup (not too sure i still think u need a driveshaft.)

yea i tend to powershift and it does eat at your transmission.

I already have a very heavy duty clutch and a 4" Alum driveshaft.

Bad *** ride that spends more time in the shop then with me. Lol. thanks man.

Just got word from Justin. The Input shaft snapped which is not what we thought happened. We thought that I just ground the splines down to nothing.

I'd recommend that you don't power shift when you get your new Tranny....

I think I was unlucky so I'm not going to go as far to say that I wont power shift anymore.
