Anyone tried to order one of these yet ?

Anyone got experience of trying to order a Cobra last time they specials came out ? Its almost impossible to get a GT coupe at present, what are the thoughts on trying to get one of the GT500's ?

I don't thank you can order a 07 car since the 06 has not even come out yet.

You're going to have to wait a bit for one of these. I'd suggest saving for a deposit, and sometime inn mid 2006, put all that you can down and just wait for heaven.

I know people that already have order in/on the list. It really depends on your dealer. I can recommend you a good one down here in San Diego. They got me my GT in 6 weeks from the order date

I believe it isn't so much an order, but a request to allocate a GT500 to that dealership, and when the time comes they use that spot to make your order.

Are all Ford dealers going to be able to get the 2007 GT500? Or just the SVT dealers?

I heard originally that only SVT dealers would get them...now they have opened it up to all dealers...so, the SVT dealers allocation has been reduced. I read this on the blueovalforum website.

The sales manager at my local dealer told me there were going to be only 7,000 2007 Cobras produced. That is about 2 per dealship. I have seen a list of $39,900 but expect it to be more like $50,000. Allocation will be granted based on the dealers sales position within the Ford family which is similar to how the Ford GT's were allocated. I have had no luck getting them to accept either a small deposit or a complete payment from me to assure my place in line. If I hear anything different I will repost.

They opened it up to all dealers, and HTT is talking about making convertibles too, also there is a guy who lives near the testing facil., and has picks, i'll try and find the link for ya, so there will be more like 13k made
