Default Torque on s197s

I used to own a 04 gt and it felt more torquier, than my 08 gt. Is it just me or would anyone else agree with me. Maybe i just got a P.O.S.

S197's come from the factory with a really conservative tune and makes the car feel slow. Get a tune and you'll change your mind.

My bro has a 06 gt w/4.10's and full bolt ons, and mine is a 04 gt w/3.90's and full bolt ons, and we both agree mine still feels more torquey than his.

I got a 91 octane tune from brenspeed, not impressed at all. My 04 was still torquier.

the ride quality and being a newer car with new technology in it make it a better ride which would take away the rough feeling that new edges give. A 10 second foxbody feels twice as fast as a 10 second s95 and you could keep up with this argument all day for the newer vs the older

I dont know i was very disappointed. I love my 08 gt but if i would have never owned or driven an 04 gt, i think i would be satisfied, but since i did i'm thinking twice about it and am thinking of getting another 04.

Idk I had a 02 GT with basic bolt ons and 3.73. I know my 08 GT pulls harder then it did. Its more of a smooth pull to. My 02 would just hit hard thats prolly why you think its more torquer and the ride quality in the 08 is a lot better makin it a little different of a pull. All i have on my 08 is a JLT and 93 octane brenspeed tune.

I'd trade it in for another '04. Who cares if it's a half second slower in the 1/4 as long as it "feels" faster?

+1

Get rid of it then and get the 04 back if that's what makes you happy.
