I am really NOT surprised. Dirty, underhanded, muck-sucking, bottom-dwellers some of these dealers can be. Bait, see drool, switch.

Oh well. You're buddy should just chalk it up to experience with an auto dealership.

Okie, your buddy should have jumped on that deal as soon as the salesman said it and held him to it. For them to go up to 3k over after that original price is absurd. How do these people justify charging that and how do the folks buying at that price justify it to themselves? Incredible.
