Boosted on Stock Engine? Come In
I would like to do a poll on how many people are running boost on a factory stock engine.
What FI system are you running? Intercooled/Non-intercooled?
What boost level?
How many miles have you been boosted?
How long have you been boosted?
Average driving style? (getting into boost much?)
Any Racing? (any type)
Canned or Custom tune?
If you have popped your engine I would also like to hear about it.

Intercooled Whipple, 9 psi
~1000 kms (625 miles)
6 weeks
Getting into boost everytime I drive.
No racing yet
Mostly on the whipple tune, now custom tune.

10 PSI pulley
around 6000
a little over a year
Very Aggressive (All the time)
Drag strip, around 100 passes with the blower
Dynotune from VMP for 93 pump
-On a side note, I'm planning to run a 14 psi pulley this winter on 104 unleaded and see how long she holds

How long have you been boosted? little over a year
Average driving style? (getting into boost much?) get into boost every time, just not ever 5# usually.
Any Racing? (any type) Been to the 1/4 twice.
Canned or Custom tune? Ran canned for a year, now on custom.

whipple HO 8 psi
1.5 years boosted and 5000 miles.
boost it about every time i drive, but not all out all the time, but once in a while i put it to the test.
no racing bc we have no track.
custom tune 450 rwhp/ 420 tq, 11.5 a/f
engine is holding up great
only had some pulley squeal and belt slip. upgraded to 8 ribs and thumprrr tensioner, and its all good.

Whipple HO Intercooled. 16,000 miles on the blower, 28,000 on the clock. I don't remember when I installed it, but about 2 years ago. I've only made 4 passes at the drag strip, but hope to get some practice when it cools off.
