Default Getting Tired of the Intake Induction Tube...

For me personally, the novelty has worn off and I am getting tired of the intake induction tube that ports intake noise into the passenger cabin.

What is the easiest way to plug it up and keep the noise from coming in?

I know many enjoy it and I do on occasion however I am finding more and more I just like to hear the exhaust note.

I hear ya! I got tired of it after just a few days. Duct tape over the tube, trimmed it off and inserted back into intake tube...over 2000 miles....no issues.

Do the Mustangs come that way or did you have to unplug the port to get that effect?

It comes standard on the GT. I notice it varies in sound on every GT I have driven, some are quiet and some are pretty noisy, you have to get in it some to hear it, must be some pretty aggressive drivers on here, way to go guys!

I'm thinking about getting rid of mine too. The sound it makes changed a little after putting on the headers and I find it annoying. I was considering using dynamat on both sides to plug the hole in the firewall and using a metal freeze plug from an auto parts store or a PVC plug from Home Depot to plug the intake tube section.

Anyone got a pic so I know where to look?

I think it is making a whistling noise in the cabin and it's ANNOYING.

Since many CAI are keeping the stupid thing someone should make a plug that will get rid of it. I know we can use the V6 plug to seal up the firewall, just need something to plug the intake side. I got the C&L on the way and it has it.
