Thumbs up Comp Cams NSRs, Kooks LTs and catted H installed

All,

Had this work done a couple of weeks ago and I must say...WOW!
Great power, and awesome sound. I got nice feedback from the shop techs on the Comp Cams as opposed to the FRPP cams. Apparently, making more power than a similarly equipped GT. They have a little lope to them, not real aggressive, but you can definitely feel it sitting at a light, and the car has got that little shaking going side to side. The sound from the Kooks setup is tremendous. Reminds me of my '71 Torino with LTs and no cats..going back thru flowmasters as well. For a daily driver it just sounds like the world is coming to an end when you're coming up thru the gears. The fitment on the Kooks' are spot on. I had a Brenspeed tune before these upgrades, and I had this shop tune on the dyno. The complaint I had with the Brenspeed tune falling flat under 2K rpm is pretty much fixed. Also, I had noticed with the Brenspeed tune that the throttle was MUCH more sensitive to the touch. I didn't realize how much I didn't need that until that has been fixed as well. It was throwing my shift timing off and I was not sure if it was me or the car. No question now. All is well. Definitely a hot setup and 2 thumbs way up!

Congrats on the purchase and new found power!!! Any videos yet??? I would like to compare to my exhaust, since Pypes LT headers use a similar design as the KOOKS.

I assume that since you didn't get the aggresive lope you went with XFI instead of Thumpers. Which cam did you get, stage I or II?

Sounds pretty close to mine, although mine is a little deeper due to my Stingers.
