Go with off road (no cats) x-pipe or JBA's H-pipe, and then get long tubes. This setup will help but your mufflers are the most determining factor when it comes to loudness. If your really not happy with them I'm sure other members on this site would buy them from you for at least what a set of SLP loudmouths would cost you. Those would satisfy your craving I'm sure.
Sorry, brainfart, if you get long tubes, you won't have cats anyway.
Dave..umm..you can get a catted shorty h with Longtubes..at least up untill 2004 on all of those stangs..maybe it's different with the '05s? You would know better then me..but I always thoght that you could get Longtubes with a shorty catted mid pipe??
Your right, you can have that setup, but currently on the 05's no one makes one, it would have to be a custom weld in setup and you would have to extend all the O2 sensors since the cats would be about 2 feet further, but for loudness I would still go no cats and the LT's.

I love my MAC axlebacks. I simply could not enjoy the car without them. If you have a muscle car it has to sound like one and what I hear about flowmasters isn't doing it. Everyone here knows that the loudmouths are the most popular and the cheapest. So loudmouths is the answer (SLPs').
