Gas Tank holds 16Gallons... I thought it was an 11 gallon tank... that is what I can put in when the computer starts screaming at me that I have 0 miles to empty. Looks like I have another issue to add to my "Get Fixed" list.

With my GT I am getting

15 to 17 when I Play.

19 round town average

23 on the highway.
Do you have the faulty gas tank issue?? Thats when mine tends to click off, as if full - but yet I still have 4-5 gallons left that I can squeeze in at low pressure from the nozzle.

I am averaging about 18 mpg, I don't consider myself highway just because there is a lot of stop and go traffic but it is the turnpike. I have the 05 GT, so I am pretty happy with what I am getting so far.

To post another question that kind of runs with this. What kind of gas are all of you putting in your 05 GT's? I know the book says 87 octane which is what I have been using (2k mi) but am wondering if I should use premium?

Thanks

If I really get on it I've seen the average in the teens, but normal town/hwy mix I get 21-23. Best I have got was 25 when it was brand new, and I know I could have gotten better cause I was getting on it and there was some town driving too.
I'm not calling you crazy or anything - but are you sure you're using Standard measures, and not metrics??? These cars should BARELY get 25 highway miles. I don't see how any performance V8 would be getting 21-23 in the city [&:] Maybe your computers wacked out. Are you really getting 365-375 miles on a 16 gallon tank?? If so, then drive that baby and enjoy the fact that you are stopping about 125 miles after we are [8D]

I've been averaging 12.5 to 14.8
Well actually I think the ones who say they get less than 16 are simply crazy. I would litterally be stomping on it constantly to get that bad of mileage. I have an excel spredsheet on my pocket pc that I keep in my stang that does calculations against the trip computer and it's always within .5 mpg. On the highway(60mph) I can get about 30mpg, but since I never just drive 400 miles without some town driving or interstate driving (80mph) I never have averaged that high yet. I might do it someday just to **** of my friends that drive slower cars that get much much worse mileage. I keep track of mpg, miles per tank, octane and where I bought the gas. I also note my routine maintenace in there too. I usually fill up between 340-360 miles on each tank with about 15 galons to fill it back up.

My friend had a 03 Cobra with 490 rwhp and got low 20's when he wasn't driving it like a madman, just depends on how well you can shift and hold back the urge[8D] That's one of the things I love about this car, you can get decent mileage but there's also plenty of power there when you need it.

I seem to average in the high 16's/low 17's. Then again, I like the go-fast pedal and do a lot of driving around town...

Just got back from OKC. I ran 85-95 most of the way and quite a bit of city driving (even a couple of good burn outs)and even with my mods I got right at 20mpg. I was impressed.

I'm gettin' 17.5 around town and 22-22.5 hwy in my auto vert with steeda cai and predator tune. I'm suprised, unless the avg mpg meter is off. I've never calculated manually at the pump. I HAVE calculated manually at the pump on my acura mdx and that computer is always really accurate (within 1 /10th of a MPG), so I'm likely to believe my mustang's.

I've only had it for a week. I have a manual and have been driving in town mostly. After one tank full, I got about 19 MPG. I realize it may be too early to tell.

The other thing I noticed is that after installing the C&L and the predator tune for the C&L ( i used the 93 octane tune - 5 degrees), the computer reported an extra 2 mpg within a few miles. I don't know how accurate that was, but the avg reading did match the number of gallons used at fill up time.
