well considering the stock mufflers on the 99-04 GT's were a lot more restrictive compared to the 05 mufflers and their dyno sheet on the 99-04 only shows a 9HP gain, i call bull**** on a 26HP gain on the 05's...pretty sure they are just counting on some uneducated rich idiots to read that statement and run out and buy them based on a graph they manufactured

Man, that "Race Air" sure sounds great!! Where can I get me some? Will it work with this 49%hp gain fuel addative I just bought?
Dude, you never heard of race air?? I sell race air by the bottle. only $49.99 for a 2 month supply. It decreases the rotational friction of the tires by over 65% thus its worth about 35rwhp. You interested in some??

ya, I read the article...and as everyone has been saying...practically no gain on axle-backs or marginal gains

For those that didn't read the article:

Magnaflows +2hp
Bassani +2hp
JBA +0hp
Ford Racing +0hp

and I can't remember the 5th tested...maybe flowmasters?? 1-2hp gain

Most claims are made with a Predator retune as well (Since you pretty much cannot mod our cars without a reflash)

No I think that these claims were made as a direct bolt-on without a tune. And even if there was a re-tune...I doubt that you are going to get 26rwhp and 32ft-lbs from a tune and a couple of mufflers.

Hey GGIII, I was thinking about getting the steeda springs. How are they on your car? Its a 1" drop right? How does it look from the side?

look at the graph, it clearly isn't a mustang GT they were testing... the stock hp is only at around 170hp-peak...
What if:

The numbers they're claiming as "stock" were on a 05 Mustang V6, and the "IMCO" numbers reflect a COMPLETE exhaust redo, into a true dual system? Then those numbers *might* be possible, eh?

Then its false advertising putting those claims on a page with "2005 Mustang GT" on the top and pic of a 2005 V8 stang

Yeah, but it happens all the time. When asked, they could just respond with "Oh that? that's a typographical error. it was a *V6* mustang . yuk yuk yuk"

LMAO...

don't believe ANYTHING. Anywhere, anytime.

I personally love them. I havn't noticed any loss in ride quality and 1" is plenty of drop. Anything more than 1" and you have to replace all your bushings/etc. or they'll wear out and you'll be left with a broken Mustang.
