OMG.
brought it for a brand new tune at a diffrerent shop due to hunting idle and
a check engine light that would not go away.
Got the tune done and everything was fine. Slight hunting idle but nothing big. Drove it home (long trip)
Next night all is well too.
But tonight something happens.
Every time I push the accelerator down to speed up.... and let go of it..
guess what happens?
The car either accelerates MORE by itself when I let of the gas or clutch.... or it STAYS at that RPM and will NOT go down unless I push on the brake and push in the clutch.
Even when I push in the break sometimes it tries to rev up more for a bit.
I checked all my hoses and connections for leaks and could find none.
WHAT THE HELL is happening?
How am I supposed to even drive this damn thing back to the tuner/shop when it is doing this? They are 300 mi. away!

Although not good advice, damn man that sucks! I don't even understand how all of this tuning bad luck just is really not working out for you. Seems like you're just running into a bunch of unfortunate events =(

Sh*t dude, wish I could help ya out on this one. I tried googling this but I got nothing. Try getting someone to look at it at your house or something so you dont have to drive it. Maybe its time for an upgrade to a 5.0 lol. Sorry just tryin to shed some laughs on this situation. It sucks bad when crap just starts to fall apart on your car.
Good luck

No wonder you renamed yourself from "5th gear member" into "the paranoid one."
Bad S*** seems to like you too much.
Have you checked your pedal return spring? Is the gas pedal returning completely out once you take your foot off?

The last thing I'd try before running back to that shop is to lift the battery cable and do a reset. I'm sure your MAF and TB are clean. Don't know off hand what else...

Yeah its definitely not the gas pedal.
The only things I can think of are:
The tune
A dirty Throttle Body? (Could it do this?)
Or my Throttle body failing?
I dont know what else it could me.
I am about to pull my hair out though. I am at my wits end.

Could be running too much timing at 0% throttle. On my Brenspeed tune I noticed they run a lot of timing at 0% throttle. It's a little annoying when I lift the throttle to engine brake and the car barely slows down. When I first got the tune installed there was once or twice where I let off the throttle and the car didn't slow down at all. Now it's fine, maybe at some point I'll see if they can tweak it some more for me.
To me it's weird to have a car that still sends fuel and spark when you let off the throttle. All of my imports I owned going back to an 1988 CRX stopped sending fuel when you let off the gas in order to save fuel. You'd think they would do the same thing on every car by now, especially a gas guzzler like a Mustang.
