Question Could This Have Hurt My Car?

We all know I'm paranoid.
Well... anyways.
I let my friend drive today because my back was really hurting me.

Well... friend was used to my car having 4.10's and knew sometimes from a stop it could go not from 1st but 2nd gear as a starting point.

Well... not being used to the short throw shifter, guess what?
The car was accidentely put into 4th and as soon as the gas was pushed the car bogged down and engine stopped.

I have not noticed anything bad about the car yet.
But I was wondering if this is something that could hurt my car and
do I need to do something to test and see if its all cool.
Also anything I should look for.

You guys know I already had my tranny replaced once and I have NO CLUE how it got messed up being I had NEVER raced itbeing and only had grinded the gears a few times.

Am I just being paranoid again or this a legit concern?
Thanks

Anyways input would be appreciated.

wont hurt anything, if stalling a stick meant death i don't think most manuals would still be on the road. NOW i once went from fifth to second at WELL over the speed limit in my 05 racing fracking civic lol... went from 120 to 60 so fast i thought my retinas were going to detach. other than feeling like an asshat and giving the rev limiter a work out and scaring the shat out of the guy i was racing (and me) all was good. if that didn't break anything, stalling certainly wont.

Your good nothing to worry about....I've done that accidentally before....the worst for me was a 5000rpm clutch dump into fourth....NOW THAT WAS A REAL SHUTTER or a 4th gear brake stand....thought I was in 2nd gear(for gears 3.55 or over).....I smoked the clutch which I thought were the tires....ouch!!! The clutch pedal grabbed at the top after that....replaced clutch a short time later.....on a older Mustang I had in the past.

I turned my headlight switch too hard. I think I may have hurt it.

C'mon, Blacksmoke. You really ARE **** about everything. Try attempting to downshift from 5th to 4th at 70 MPH but missing 4th and finding 2nd. This was bringing a NEW car home from the dealership. Talk about deceleration... I ended up selling the car in showroom condition after 178,000 miles with never an issue.

But I'm still worried about my headlight switch.

Speaking of missed shifts in my 08 GT.....I was going down the quater mile at Englishtown in NJ. I was shifting from 3rd to 4th (stock shifter) and I slammed into 2nd.....ouch and I mean it revved to who knows what.....this happened in Nov of 08 so I don't remember where the RPMs went to but, it made a hell of noise! Never had a problem and went down the track several more times after that on the same day. My point is the 4.6 is a bullet proof engine. Being my engine is stock there's not much to worry about.....and engine with significant mods would probably of been in bad shape. Another point is that missed shifts happens to everybody and chalk it up to "**** happens".

Your car is okay. Hell, I have don that too. I upshifted going from 2nd to 3rd, but threw it into 5th instead. The engine rumbled really low and stalled, but no problems at all. Just started her up again and kept on truckin'

I would seriously consider getting a new car after this incident

Probably more so due to my light switch; not the miss-shift.
