I put SLP Loudmouths on mine, they sound pretty raw and aggressive, so if you plan on doing more exhaust work (headers, offroad X, etc), they may be a little much for some people with those additions. As a stand-alone, I love them.

Borla Stingers have a very good sound, they're a more "controlled" loud than the SLPs, plenty of volume yet more tuned. They'd sound great even with other exhaust work.

I get tons of compliments of the sound of mine with the FM American Thunders on it. No drone, loud when you want it to be, quiet when you need it to be.

i really like my FRPP GT500 mufflers. zero drone cruising down the highway. when you put your foot down they sound great. and quite reasonably priced.

I agree wiht 92 Hatch - I love my Roush mufflers, good quality, great sound NO DRONE.

But, I will also agree with BlackSmoke, go to a show and find the sound you want. That was one of the main reasons I went to Mustang Week. I went on the Coyote Cruise and simply walked the line asking what people had and listened to them. That is how I found my way to Roush.

It is very much a matter of preference. There was a guy there selling his FM Hushpower mufflers. He said they had a good sound, no drone, etc. but just didn't have what he wanted. I listened to clip after clip trying to decide - nothing compares to live.

Good luck in your search.

Thats like asking whats the best tasting cereal...
Dunno, what do you prefer?
Thats the best tasting.

Roush FTW, hands down.
Unless you want the 'raw'
sound, then its SLP Loudmouths.

I want an improved deep sound but definitely don't want to get too carried away with cost. So I'm trying to decide between Roush and FM Hushpowers. Wish I could hear them side by side in person... been YouTubing them for the past hour... the Hushpowers sound much deeper imo just from the various videos.

I have the FRPP KR mufflers and I'm very happy with them. Straight through old school sound, much louder than stock, and really scream when you open them up, and no drone what so ever.

Steeda has a great sounding axle back that is pretty well priced. They just recently put a video of it up to show the sound. I have been eyeing this exhaust for a couple weeks now.

It sounds great in MPO.
