Default Bought Flowmaster American Thunder

My new axle-back exhasut, Flowmaster A/T, will be here tomorrow. I plan to swap it out this weekend. Just bought the car and it has Pypes "Pype Bomb" exhaust on it and is WAY too loud with too much drone for my taste. Wanted something decent for normal driving to work on the interstate but still gets your attention at WOT.

I'm thinking about switching from American Thunders to that Pypes Beast Supersystem haha

I definitely love the sound of my A/Ts, but they just aren't loud enough

Probably sell the Pypes after this weekend. Guess whatever I get out of them is just extra cash to offset the A/Ts. The pypes were on when I bought the car. Think I can change them in a couple hours Friday morning. Seems pretty easy. Undo about 6-8 bolts on each side and take off the old set and slide the new set on.

Let us know how it sounds.
I have a Bassani X-pipe and cat back exhaust. It is too loud & attracts the local police like crazy, I can't have any fun..........
I am also considering changing to Flowmaster A/T in stainless.

Scott, where in Virginia? I just put the American Thunders on mine two weeks ago. Compared to my stock mufflers with 80,000 the AM's were just slightly louder but have a much fuller sound. Virtually quiet at cruising speeds.

Virginia Beach.

Should be here tonight. FEDEX guy always hits my house last for some reason. They will be on by noon tomorrow and I'll post how they sound.

I have had A/T on my GT for 25K miles...they really sounded better after about 5k running and the 93 oct.Brenspeed tune made them deeper also...
