Default 15 or 20% Tint?

Black 2012 GTCS, black leather interior. I want to tint, but I'm not sure just how dark it will be. 15, 20, 30, any and all suggestions are more than welcome! Pics too!

Default Depends on your cops

Ive had tint from 5% to 15. I think it depends on your age. How dark where you live is and if you're worried about people seeing in your car. On my last car i had 10 all the way around and 35 on the front windshield and loved it. No one could see in my car at night but wasn't a police magnet during the day. Tint tickets in Florida are 140 so remember if it's too dark a cop might get ya.

thats barely a difference but go 15 if its legal in your area. 5% and 10% starts to look bad imo

Ok tinting the front is pretty dangerous and stupid, not to mention very illegal in a lot of places

I stuck with 20% on the rear and quarter windows, but got 30% on the side windows (cops here are strict) and I kind of wish I went with 20 on the side windows too...

Overall 20% keeps prying eyes away, as well as good reduction in eye melting sunlight while keeping cops from ripping you a new one. But anything with a lower percentage is purely aesthetic/keep people from looking in.

Here's a thread with my tint, this is with my flash on for all the pics and one with a heavy work light to simulate a very sunny day (I took them in a garage).

Scroll down a bit on that thread to see them.

Protip: more aggressive tint keep heat from the sun out year round. so if you live either high up north or down south, keep that in mind.

I have a black 07 vert with black leather and I went with 15% sides and 5% back window. I love it. Not to dark at night and just right in bright sun.

15% is generally considered dark but not too dark.
I bought my 08 with 15% already on it, but I'll probably get it redone w/ 5%
