Default 2013 Track App Cluster in 2012?

Hey guys I bought my 2012 Mustang GT last November b/c I like the look better than the 2013, but I would love to have track apps and the new gauge cluster. Does anyone know if it is even possible to take a gauge cluster thats in the 2013 mustang and put it a 2011-12 Mus'tang. Someone told me that the the 2011-12 mustang has all the necessary sensors it just isn't set up with the 4" screen.

That would be a nice thing if it works. I bet a company like American Muscle could find out. Considering they have 2012 and 2013 5.0 models as demo cars.

Add me to the list. I've been thinking of changing my base gauges to premium regardless. Would be cool to have the track pack too.

I question why it would have all of the appropriate sensors if they weren't going to be hooked up to anything...

My guess would be..yes, it'll fit, no, it won't do anything special for you though without also installing sensors.

it already has most of the sensors...u can get to them by entering engineering test mode on the 11-12 GT's...A/F, head temps, speed, rpm....its all there already

But does it have accelerometers? I also don't believe it measures speed changes based on correspondence with the gauge because that's inaccurate, so I'm gambling there's a sensor for that too.

IMO the fun sensors aren't the ones included in the 2012 and 2011. If I want to see my A/F, temps, speeds, rpm etc. I'll plug in my laptop and use my SCT to find that out.

I would bet they're built into the cluster itself.
