Looking for a fairly mild cat-back exhaust...

Did you ever drive the car with the GT500 axle-back in stock form? If so, how was it? Thanks.

The volume is great, it sounds like a mustang instead of a secretary's car. There are tons of videos online but its hard to tell. Same tone as the stock mufflers but about twice the volume. Inside is barely noticeable, the sound tube actually produces more sound than the exhaust.

So you have the GT500 axle-back, correct? How much louder is it than the stock GT setup? I am inclined to think the GT500 axle-back may fit my bill since it comes stock on the GT500 which can't be too loud since it is a factory car after all.

The Magnaflow sounded pretty tame. Which Borla is the quietest? On the GTO, the Corsa exhaust was pretty loud, even for the touring edition. I will have to check out the frpp kit. Thanks.
Thanks. I want the car to have a bit more of a rumble, but not loud lik the Rousch clip I just listened to, lol. Also, what do you mean by the 'sound tube'? Thanks.
I don't want really loud. The Rousch would be last on my list. I am looking for something mild, but aggressive. The Rousch is obnoxious to me. Thanks.

yeah i did. for almost a year. it does take a few thousand miles for the new mufflers to break in so to speak. they sound so much better at wide open throttle than stock. I used the many videos on youtube to make the decision for me. if you really want loud though i would also suggest the rousch axle backs as well.

oh i think that sound tube is the plastic thing that attaches to the cold air intake tube that goes into the firewall. its supposed to provide extra engine noise to the driver because the cabin is so quiet.

After listening to several exhausts on youtube, I am leaning towards the FRPP sport exhaust. One guy made a great video that shows pretty much no drone inside the car, but a nice aggressive (but not obnoxious) tone on the outside. What do you guys think? Thanks!
