I was talking to a buddy who has worked in the dealer world as well and he said you might be able to get policy from a dealer that you get all your maintenance done at. Gonna have to call the local Ford dealer tomorrow and ask.

And as far as the clutch, I'm not surprised they don't cover it since it's a wear item.

Any Ford dealer should cover warranty work. Ford Corporate reimburses dealers for it, it's part of how they make money. In fact, Dealers should jump at warranty work, even from people who didn't buy the car from them.

Before you buy hit them up for the $500 brochure credit. Tell them you ordered one and you'd prefer to wait until it arrives. They should just pull a pin number for it and give you another $500 off. It comes out of Ford's pocket, not theirs. When we bought an F-150 we were waiting on a $500 brochure to arrive. Dealer said "no prob, we can just enter the pin, we have a bunch."

Yeah the maintenance plan is what I put on mine, covers all the cars maintenance for 7 years I think it was. You just pay extra per month on top of the payment, it will also cover the clutch or at least mine did when I got it may of changed now you never know.

Also got a discount on tires when it needs a new set also.

Ignore that previous post, sorry! Mobile phone failure lol

Anyway, I did actually get a mustang brochure last August or so. Not sure if it is the same one to get a discount. I already put a $500 deposit down, u think I could still get that discount?

I just wanted to let everyone know I did get the car. Sorry for the lack of updates! I spent all weekend detailing and driving the car. I really love the car. Only regret is not getting 3.55's or 3.73's. Car feels a bit anemic with the stock 3.31's. I will post pics soon.
