Manual Trade Question
I Own a 2005 Auto Mustang GT with 82k miles on it. But recently(< 500 miles) I changed 4 tires, brakes and rotors.
I saw a 2005 Manual GT with 75k miles at local dealer. I am itching to get a manual GT. So how do you guys propose trade. Whose car is more in value.
Both cars are Premium Package. On my car previous owner installed all Shelby emblems. No accidents on both cars. Thx guys.

The one yo're looking at has more value.
Manual actually gets money added into the value versus and automatic.
Miles are lower on the one you're looking at
It will come down to the condition of your car versus how well it runs, versus the condition of the one you want.
I can't say it'll happen but expect them to low ball you, they have to turn a profit on the lot car.

Your relatively new brakes, rotors and tires are a mute point; nobody cares so don't expect to get anything other than using it as a talking point.
If you want the manual that bad, be prepared to lay out some $$. I'd say, if you GOTTA have it, offer them $1k-$2k with the trade, unless there are other equipment/condition factors at play here. If you're really savvy (and, no offense, you're not or you wouldn't be asking), you can walk out of there with an even trade.

Auto vs manual, in terms of value here, doesn't matter. What matters is the retail value vs trade in value. The dealership will want $$ plus your car (is your car paoff?) The question is how much. $200? $500? $1000? Stop and talk to them.
