2011 Mustang GT, first oil change since purchase. 3 QT = Max on dipstick? Pics.
Hey everyone. A few months back I got a 2011 Mustang GT. My 3K miles is up so it's time to do an oil change per Ford. Now, I drain the old oil, change filter, yadda yadda. This isn't my first oil change, been doing them forever on my BMW and my old 2006 GT, never an issue until now.
Also, before anyone thinks I didn't get all of it out I left the drain plug out for about 10 minutes with the oil cap off, filter out. The car was level. Now, I put in 3 quarts exactly of Mobil 1 5W-20 and let it sit for a minute before checking the level and putting more in. Knowing it takes 8 quarts I'd like to know which QT readings associate to what marks/levels on the dip stick.
Anyway, to my surprise 3 QT shows between the A and X on MAX. WTF.
I wiped it off, checked and rechecked probably 15 times and it still shows on MAX after 3 quarts. Again, WTF?
I'm wondering if my dipstick is the wrong kind or who knows what. If anyone else has a similar year (or identical) please let me know what your dip stick looks like and what numbers it shows on there. I'm scared to drive it until I get this situation figured out.
Here is the dip stick all clean. The numbers on it show YL5E-6750-AA and yellow dip stick handle has PET-GF30 on it.
Here is after 3 quarts, checking the oil after multiple wipes. Shows between A and X on MAX.
Checked again:
What in the world is going on? Any advice, tips and suggestions welcomed. Never seen or heard of something like this happening before.

Also if you could, if you have a 2011 GT (assuming 2012-14 dip sticks are the same) or newer please measure the length of the dip stick. Mine is coming in at 21.5" and looking at other pics it looks like the dealership I got this from gave me the wrong dip stick.

Also, while I didn't measure how much came out I would say there was at least 5 QTs in from my experience with how much oil comes out into the container I use for other vehicles.

Update: I said F*** the dip stick and just put in the other 5 quarts (more like 4.75 to be safe) and took it out for a test drive last night. Runs strong, fine, no noises or smoke. Oil way the heck up the dip stick of course but at this point I'm pretty sure the super-genius dealership put in the wrong one (or perhaps some shop the previous owner took it to).
If anyone with a 2011 has the time to check their own dip stick to see what numbers are on it, how long the metal part it is I would appreciate it. Going to contact the dealership and see if they can get a replacement.
Crazy stuff.

Just got off the phone with the dealership, looks like they are retarded. They mistakenly put a dip stick in from a 3L Ford Ranger. The number SHOULD be BR3Z-6750-AA and instead it is YL5E-6750-AA.
