2004 Mach 1 headlight bulb replacement - issues :(
Hey folks,
The air intake/filter are in the way of removing the old bulb or squeezing the lockring between. What's the best way to get this taken care of? I loosened up the screw going into the body which connected the air filter, but it wouldn't budge out of place (as with my v6 it would easily after a few movements). The passenger side bulb is completely dead, and the highbeam on the driver's side is dead as well. Seems I've got to replace both. What's interesting is that the prior owner had installed an HID kit from the looks of it, with the brain below the battery. However, the bulbs don't look HID. They're an incredibly dark shade of blue almost and pretty fat, not long slim ones. Maybe just really bright whites? Any help would be great. Thanks a lot!

Pull the two head light holding tabs out from behind the head light that holds the head light to the the core support and pull the whole head light out from the front, disconnect the wire, then take out the bulb. That is the correct way to do it.

Where are the two headlight holding tabs? Are you talking about taking the whole headlight off? I was under the impression it was somehow more secured than that to just take out the whole enclosure. Thanks a lot folks!

No kidding? Those two little black tabs? Wow! I would have thought it was more secure in there. I'll give it a shot today. Any idea what kind of bulbs these are if they're incredibly blue and kinda on the fat side? Thanks a lot by the way, this is why I love this place!
