im gonna look up prices on the stuff. what is a good tuner? im thinking Xcal II just b/c it's still very effective and useful and ~100-150 a pop unlocked and shipped.

Stone with what i am about to do i promise the college is already paid for. I've got lots of experience with budgeting and money management, but sadly the wife doesn't yet...teaching a woman not to spend money is like teaching a bird not to ****

Rebel, as far as the tuner goes I'd say first check with any dyno shops in your area and see which brand they prefer to do their dyno tuning with.

Much less backpressure with LTs requiring bigger A/F change, that's what I'm guessing anyway.

Lmao, you ain't lying man. Woman+$$$= no money. I was just messing with ya about school, I know you got it under control.

I'm not 100% sure about the technicalities of why you need a tune with LTs, but I do know in order to maximize gains from them, a tune is required. My GTO picked up 15 hp after I tuned the LTs. Pretty amazing.
