Default 5w30 oil okay?

Dude at the shop I always take my car to had a brain fart and installed 5w30. They're really cool so I didn't get all upset and figured it'd be okay. Y'all think it's okay? Also, oil changes have gotten very expensive at shops when using full synthetic, even after coupons. Since I've lowered her it's impossible to get ramps under the chin. Anybody got any ideas to be able to get under the car. Thx!

yea 5-30 is fine lots of ppl use it from what i have heard the only reason they say to use 20 over 30 is because of emissions. and how i change the oil is i jack it up on one side and get under the car and do it myself

I cant get my jack under my car even from the side. Ive got a high point where the grass meets the driveway. I just pull it onto the grass then jack up the front a few more inches.

Drive up on 2 2X8 blocks of wood, one under each tire, that should get you up high enough to get a jack under the K member or a arm.

Check out Rhino Ramps. They are specifically for low cars and work great on my Mach 1.

Not for lowered low cars I have those but I can't use them to lift up the front, only the rear.

But yeah it seems 5w30 is fine. A believe quite a few people over on M1R use it.

Maryland huh! You'll be ok before the summer starts.. I run a heavier weight when it's hot out.. The 2 pieces of wood like someone else had mentioned is a really great way! I cut my wheel hard right and get a small jack under the a-arm and jack it just enuff to get the good jack under the member.. Aggghhhh the things we have to do to keep up appearances LOL
