It's time to start gathering names for those coming to Cruise Night Port Huron again this year. We will be parking again at Northgate Ford on Pine Grove Avenue, and Jack (Wingman75) will lead a group in a caravan from the Wal Mart at Hall Road and I-94 to the cruise night.

Port Huron Cruise Night – July 10, 2009
We will be parking at Northgate Ford, 3600 Pine Grove Avenue, Port Huron, Michigan. It is about a mile after I-94 ends at Pine Grove Avenue, just keep heading north (the same direction you will be headed when you get to the end of I-94 after the Blue Water Bridge exit). Coming from I-94 you will see Northgate on the right side of the road, go past the Burger King to the second entrance to Northgate (the first entrance is just after crossing the bridge over the canal that separates Northgate Ford and the Burger King).
Northgate will have the used car lot cleared for us, starting around 3 on Friday, July 10, 2009. As in the past years, some of us will be there to get set up and greet those arriving. Northgate is in the middle of the cruising area, which extends from downtown Port Huron to about 2 miles north of Northgate Ford. If you come through downtown Port Huron between 3 and 6 you will likely get caught in the parade. In the past, we have been able to leave Northgate and come back if you want to get out and cruise for awhile.
Jack (Wingman75) will lead a cruise from the Wal Mart at I-94 exit 240 (I-94 and Hall Road) up to Port Huron. Anyone cruising up in that group needs to meet at the parking lot to the west of Wal Mart (using the same entrance) by 5 p.m. Jack plans to leave in time to get to Northgate Ford by 6 p.m. Construction on I-94 from 26 Mile Road to St. Clair is expected to last until the end of June so you will be forced to one lane for a stretch.
The only other thing to remember is that Northgate Ford agreed to have us as guests, and last year even had a porta john brought in at their expense. Please be sure to clean up after yourselves, I know that Tom Wood the dealer appreciated it last year. They are going to try to get some local newspaper coverage, and watch the electronic signs between the Blue Water Bridge and Pine Grove Avenue. Their ad on the signs last year were a welcome to the group.
