Fall of 2009 Track Day

I'm looking to gather MFers for a track day meeting. I'd rather it be on a TNT day to keep costs down, unless somehow we can have enough people to do a rental (maybe MOCSEM might be interested or have their own rental planned already). Any ideas about track location? Dates? I'd prefer during the time of year when the weather is just right for running some personal bests (cooler air, dry).

MOCSEM is doing a day at US131 some time this fall

Sounds good. Does that mean they are doing a track rental, or just meeting there at US131 during another TNT/different event?

It will be a 4 hr rental

And the date is August 23 right? If so I may have a conflict. My daughter and granddaughter are coming that weekend but I don't know the schedule of events yet, other than on Friday and maybe Saturday.

Bill - are you going to post this on the Collective as well? We may get a couple of more people and bring the price down.

Now -US131 backed out of our rental agreement-because they didn't want to work on a Sunday.
They told April today the price would double for our date.

She is now looking at ubly dragway-info to follow-stay tuned

Well that is pretty crappy on their part Bill

On the plus side, Ubly is in nice shape and it runs west to east so the prevailing winds will be at our back.
