Ubly Dragway - Saturday 9/12/2009?
I'm going to head up to Ubly this Saturday, rather than Lapeer. My granddaughter is coming with me and Ubly will let her make a pass with me so she is excited about going drag racing.
Anyone else available to go up there?

I'd like to make it up there with you but I'm not up to a 200 mile round trip at this time. Good luck Jim.

Sorry to hear that Jack, we will have to hit the track again soon. Since Ubly will let my granddaughter ride along for a pass, I have to go up there.
Why don't you and Joe come up to Ubly and try it out Bill? The track is in a little better shape than Lapeer, the pits aren't quite as rustic either

Had a great time at Ubly, track was prepped well and no problems hooking. It was not crowded at all, similar to Lapeer, but the track was in much better shape.
My granddaughter loved the experience, another track junkie in the making. She wanted to just hot lap all day but I told her the car needed to rest a little. I eased up when she was riding along and stayed around 14. I did manage a best of 13.8 for the day and the car has more in it (managed a 13.6 on the 75 shot of nitrous) but is tuned very safely and runs real rich at WOT so there is a lot left on the table for adjustments.
There was a very nice 2003/4 Cobra convertible there, he put a smaller pulley on his blower and was runnning in the mid 12's all day - no roll cage and no one questioned him on it either Joe. How did things go over at Lapeer?

Hey thats great Jim. My family just isn't into cars like I am. Somewhere along the line my automania genes got sidetracked and didn't make it to my offspring. Sounds like a good track and I'd like to go but its so far it'll have to wait for a special occasion.
