They will sell great for a year or two. Once all the fanboys have one, the camaro will die the same death it did in '02 and for the same reason: Lack of sales.

A.) It recieves a major overhaul that renders it barely recognizable as a camaro (much like current monte carlos and impalas).
B.) It is cancelled completely.

RE: Is the Camaro too late?
Not a bad looking car at all if you ask me but the question in this thread is "is it too late for the Camaro?". I think GM let alot of people down and Mustang and Dodge wil be way ahead with sales and what not so to me the answer is YES. However I will wait and see what happends before I abandon the thought of ever owning a new Camaro.

To bad GM doesn't read this forum and others like it then they'd know how the REAL consumers of these types of cars think. GM is getting a bunch of smoke blown up their @#$ from the corporate sponsors and related companies who will benefit from the cars production. I could be wrong. I will still like to see what happends.

Now, come on be honest, whenever I and probably you see a mustang approx. 75% of the time its someone over the age of 60 driving it, its a V6, and they are usually a woman. Thats the majority of mustang sales. Maybe, if Chevy wants to try to steal away mustang fanboys(little old ladies). They could offer things like that life alert, I've fallen and can't get up thing. Or with any sale of a Camaro you get 1 year worth of depends adult diapers. No more horsepower war, IT'S THE WAR FOR OLD PEOPLE. Well if Chevy uses the SS to go against the gt500 and had around 500 hp why wouldn't you expect the price between 40-45k. Isn't the MSRP on a gt500 43k, but because of the Shelby name, limited prod., and greedy ford dealerships you won't touch one for less than 70k. When I see a gt500 and laugh at the owner and think about the dealership who went laughing at him all the way to the bank.
