Wrong. It will be 25-26k nicely optioned. Count on it.

several big wigs at gm have already said that the camaro isn't going to be a direct competitor to the mustang in price.

There no way chevy can drop 300hp cadillac cts v6 and irs in the camaro for the same price as the v6 mustang unless gm intends to lose tons of money. i doubt thats their strategy with the new camaro.

honestly im goign to have to say.. that the base camaro will not be much cheaper than our base GT.. hey i could be wrong but numbers to numbers they match except 2 less cylinders and less torque... the camaro gets the better trans.. irs... "nicer" interior(according to gm not myself).. and if im not mistaken.. dual exhaust on all models.. i honeslty see the new base camaro as a shot at our gts and the ss as a shot at nothing.. we dont have much of a mid line pony car.. just gt and cobra.. other than bullitt and shelby gt.. but still no 400 and some hp mustang... factory stock at least

and before i get jabbed for making it seem like a v6 camro stands a chance against our gts.. no.. they dont.. not with almost 4000lbs and no torque.. but on paper.. the all around specs cannot let it be much cheaper than a gt.. i agree with steele901 ... if they do make it cheaper.. GM will be at a loss

Wrong. Scott Settlemire, aka the camaro's FATHER, has said it WILL be priced competitively with the mustang.
