production started last week. You can't expect cars to be in showrooms within a week of production. especially when 14,000 of them are sold.
Well no $hit but orginally this car was supposed to be out a long time ago, I was just wondering when it was finally going to be put into production but I guess it just started

production was pushed back from February to March. I guess it seems like a long time because the concept was unveiled in 2006.
After seeing the photos I see where some parts are very similar to those of the Mustang. I imagine they are made by the same suppliers, which is why it would keep prices lower if GM doesn't fail.
The interior was a huge let down for me on the camaro. I really liked the exterior. I had been looking at everything I could on the web and car shows for the last 5 months or so. I ended up with an 09 Gt and couldnt be more happy with my choice (happend to like the 05-09 look better than the 2010 plus I could get one loaded for under 30k). Still think they're both good cars and will both sell well.
What bothers me is why can't Ford build a Mustang GT that can compete with its SS Camaro? Sure I can buy a Shelby GT500 but that's for at least ten more grand at the minimum. Camaro SS I have heard go for like 30,000 dollars, geez with 425 horsepower but you can't even buy a plushed or modified stang for that ? Ford needs to stop screwing us and come to the plate and do better. Right now I still believe the S-197 looks better than the camaro which looks like me a camaro in the front and a shoe box built around it. Even Dodge gets to enjoy more horses and torque than us. Has Ford ever built a car out of the box with the need for aftermarket?? If the price is right I just might become a camaro owner yet.
From all the reviews I've seen the 2010 Mustang GT is only .2 seconds slower than the Camaro SS. How is that not competing? Most the reviews said the Mustang handled better and the Camaro was sluggish around turns. Aside from performance most even said the Mustang interior was more pleasing than the Camaro as well. To each their own I guess. For me 0-60 isnt everything, its the entire package. I agree with you I like the look of the 05-09 GT's better so I got one even though the 09's are about .5 seconds slower than the SS. The over all package was everything I wanted, the looks, more than enough power for me, and loaded including glass roof for 29k.
When you get out run by a Camaro let me know then how you feel. I love my mustang but damn ford thinks you have to pay them more and why? 2 tenths of mile is more than you think.
I wont get outrun because I bought the car because I like it not to race kids from light to light or prove my peen is attached to my car. If that mattered I'd mod my car making your whole point invalid.
I'm modded with 4.10 gears, C/L CAI/Brenspeedtunes, Steeda Underdrive Pullys, Mac Prochamber with stock cats and Mac axlebacks. Maybe I would have a chance. I have never been to the track or Dyno, which I plan on doing so soon.
