ive thought about selling my car as is too with 60k miles on it but i know i won't get 20k for it. i wish i could get what i owe so i can start over with a gt500 instead but it's too much of a hassle trying to get my car back to stock with so many mods on it for me to try and sell off all the parts now. i'm just going to call it done with the mods for the rest of the year and pay it down as much as i can. then hopefully figure something out at the end of the year

The best way to sell your car and get the highest value is to try to sell it to someone who you know...or to advertising "For Sale" at your next car show....

Getting the highest value for your car is tough, but the people that are going to pay top dollar and people you see in your neighborhood or at car shows that know how well you keep it...and are looking for those exact mods. It's the people that you know that will have a vested interest in the vehicle...those are the suckers who will pay the most.

Selling in normal methods such as ebay/auto traders/paper/strangers will get you not much more than book value.

Good luck with your sale.

this is what i have found in autotrader in the last 3 month(this is in florida)
05 gt with supercharge and some bodykit 50000 miles for 17,995
07 gt with kenne bell supercharger 14000 miles plus rims full suspension and full exhaust for 22,999
08 gt with roush supercharger 2800 miles for 24,995
06 gt custom built interior massive stereo sytem jlt intake 20 inch rims +body kit for 21,500
07 gt with racer body kit 20 inch rims jlt intake 13000 miles for 21,500 with a scratch in the trunk
after looking at your car you could ask for 24 or 23,000 and let them work you down some.it is very hard this days to find people willing to spend or pay 20,000 cash for a car specially with your milage.

But our cars look like a million bucks!!! I wonder what I can get for mine? Probably worth more to keep than the cash Id clear out. I wish you the best but I suggest taking out some mods you can clear some easy cash on.

I just sold my 05 GT Vert Standard w/ 17k on it for $16,000 cash.

There's your ball park. I'm in Erie, PA and it had never seen snow.

Your best bet would be to return to stock and part out the aftermarket stuff. I know I would be extremely interested in the grill you have there =) and I could pick it up from ya =) let me know haha

I think the same thing, the most money would be made by selling off all the mods and selling the car as stock, mods don't add any value unless you find the right buyer. Man though, your car is sweet, I love the hood.

Unfortunately the prices are dropping quickly on our cars. In November of 08, I bought my car with only 7400 miles on it for $20,000 and he threw in the stock wheels and tires which I just sold on ebay for $600. Granted it isn't as modded as yours, but it had quite a few mods on it already, I only added the hood scoop, chin spoiler, short throw, painted mirrors, sequential lights, eleanor grill and smoked side markers, everything else was on it. I think a fair price would be 16,000. because of the mileage and the auto transmission.

Yeah, I know my best bet would be to sell off the mods...but I don't have the means to taking this stuff off and reinstalling the stock parts myself. My brother installed pretty much everything, and I know he doesn't want to deal with it again. The wheels, hood, and driveshaft would be pretty easy to deal with...but beyond that selling of the mods would be just too much of a PITA to mess with.

The part that sucks is that I still owe $19,800 on the car. I know I paid too much for it considering the miles it had, it was sort of an impulse buy. I don't really need to sell it either. I can afford to keep it, and my wife isn't forcing me to sell it, but I'd like to start saving up for a house so I think getting rid of the car payment would be the best thing to do. I can always buy another one 5 years down the line. I'd just hate to be paying on a car I don't even own anymore lol, that would really suck.

Brandon, I'm having problems checking my PM's but I can work something out with you.
