Default Speculation: 2011 Ford Mustang GT With 430HP?

The enginners from Ford have started working on improving the new Mustang generation. The main modifications consist in mounting a new engine, as well as upgrading the tyres.

2010-ford-mustang-gt-9

For the 2011 version of the Ford Mustang GT, the auto builders from Ford have chosen a new V8 5 liter engine with 32 valves, which outputs a maximum of 400HP and a torque of 542Nm. This new engine is currently known under the code name Coyote. By choosing this engine, the Ford Mustang GT will be able to match its main rival, the Chevrolet Camaro SS, which has a maximum of 426HP.

The new Mustang GT will probably be equipped with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres, which could be part of the optional package called Track Pack. The same tyres are used on the Ferrari F430 Scuderia. This modification giwill probably give the Mustang GT better handling, as well as higher speed.

it's not gonna have 430hp... them saying they are going to match the SS, they mean in performance(in a straight line)... not horsepower.

realistically i think they might shoot for 390 hp at the wheels. seems more practical and keeps people coming back for mods

power at the crank will be an even 400. for no other reason but to be at 400.

it would probably only take 375hp to beat a camaro of the line because of the weight.

but yeah 390 at the wheels sounds damn good. what is the current at the wheels? maybe 290?

Current Mustang GT stock is about 265-285 at the wheels.
