Default 2007 mustang GT 300 ???????

Hello, I went to a dealership to trade in my 2007 mustang 6 cyl pony package for a gt. I noticed a charcoal gray mustang with orange stripes that said GT 300. The vin code definately shows its a GT, but whats up the the 300. Is that the previous owners doing???
thanks for your help. Eric, (I have a few pics if someone wants to see them).

I saw some guy with one of those here in my town. I believe the 300 is just because the engine is rated at 300 hp factory. Its basically just a rocker stripe and I dont believe it has any significance at all. PICS PLEASE!

do you have a photobucket acct or another free picture hosting site? If you do you can upload them there and just use the IMG tag to post images in posts.

I take it you bought the car? If so, congrats on the purchase, im not really a fan of those orange stripes on that color but its all about personal choice. Has anything else been done to the car?

Yeah, I traded in the 6cyl for this one. I also would have picked a different color for the stripes, but thats all that was in stock, (and the finance really liked it) Only one other owner, bought it new. 16,500 miles. still had factory war. plus I added 4 years 75,00 miles war. I believe the exahaust is aftermarket. as soon as I crawl under it I'll take some more pix. I'm not familiar with the 8 cyl so i'm not sure what else is aftermarket. I do know that if youre doing 65 and you punch it, it gets down and moves fast...I'll try to get some more pix and and them as soon as I can. Time to take the very rare "gt 300" down the vegas strip and let it rumble....

hello, I wrote back yesterday, but it didn't look like it posted. I'll try to take some pix of the engine and exhaust and put them in the photo gallery. Still not sure what is aftermarket or not. what were you headed to vegas for??? talk to you later...Eric
