2011 Price Drop
Hey everybody.
Ive been itching bad to get a 2011 Mustang GT, but frankly, a new one is a tad too expensive at the moment. I was wondering if you guys had any estimates on the price drop of oh say, a $34,000 would be after the 2012s come out.
Thanks

There is no way to know right now. It all depends on just how many left over '11 GTs are out there.
I assume you are looking at a GT premium, that is in line with the price of $34K.
I am making a guess (I stress, this is only my guess, I have no facts to back this up). But if the '11 GT price drop and incentives follow the very same pattern as the 2010 GTs did last year in around October, you could see dealership sales, incentives, and rebates of as much as $8K off the sticker.
Now, here are some reasons why I am thinking the price drop will not be as drastic for the '11 GT when the 12 GT hits the lots: The 5.0L Coyote is in high demand. The dealerships will not have many of them they want to get rid of. Ford could have done their sales predictions very well, and made just enough cars so that there are very few left over.

Stick to your guns.
I ordered my 20ll GT automatic , premium, w/premier trim, spoiler delete,2 months ago and its MSRP was 36500, I paid 29865 out the door. I had no extra cost wheels or other options except Blaze yellow paint for 495. I had to wrestle them two out of three falls, but that is what you pay in Texas if you stick with your price. My goal was 30K and no more,. It worked. SNK
