this rumor/joke is as old as the mustang. on the other hand using the mustang as a base for a ford charger-killer would be an awesome idea.

Given the success of that hideous 4-door Porsche monstrosity, I fear some genius at Ford could go 'hmmm that's a good idea'...

it is a good idea. just change the aesthetics and dont call it a mustang. you wouldnt buy a 5.0 4-dooe ford?

Well, I wouldn't buy a 4-door anything... but I am single, no wife or kids, so I haven't had to make that decision yet
