not fake at all. There's actually a group of shops in Europe that specialize in Porsche motor installs into old VW buses. I thought they usually used some of the older motors...but that didn't sound like one. If you look at one of the Gumball Rally's they have footage of a VW bus w/ a Porsche motor going 120mph with 4 or 5 guys in it, its from the lastfew years. It's a good looking bus too.

Same here. Notice how it never shows a shot of the van on the track passing another vehicle. And you only see itpassing other carsfrom vantage point of the cockpit, which could be ANY vehicle footage with a screen layer of the van over the stock footage. Heck, it could be GT 40 or Saleen S7 footage from the cockpit. Some of the shots have varying clarity, too. The "van interior" is VERY clear and the racing going on outside not so much.
And there is a goose that flies across the screen at around 1:24 that is CLEARLYchopped in for scale. The ensuing footage from there is briefly sped up ala Benny Hill to make the van look faster.
AND, there are some inconsistent cockpit shots. From :03 to :18 is one type ("van-looking"), then a clearly different onefrom :34 to :58 ("rally/sports car"), then back again to "van cockpit" from 1:00 to 1:22. Looks like a guy sitting in a race simulator. Then yet a third shot from 1:41 to the end.

Just interesting you only see it on the track by itself. Dead giveaway, IMO .
