Acutally, that is mph. The smaller numbers on the inside of the speedo is where the km/h are, and in the title it says 390km/h...actually only around 340km/h +- if the speedo isn't calibrated. Mine is opposite because I got mine in Canada. Oh yeah and the reason bikes are more stable at higher speeds is because of the "gyroscopic inertia"!! That is my geek saying for the day....brain off..lol.

I went up to 150 on my bike but after that kinda get a little nervous specially when you look at the speedo but my bike wouldn't do more then 169 or something close to it.up to 150 no problem. It doesn't feel scary at all, only when you realize you are going that fast. My buddy on a special anniversary R1 flew by me at 195 thats nuts
Ofcourse all that was done on a closed track

Why is it so hard to believe? A turbocharged 1300CC crotch rocket that is probably putting 250hp+ to the ground.....He probably runs low 9's if nothigh 8's in the 1/4.Hp to weight ratio is crazy on those things, say 250hp at 670lbs(including rider), i'd say that rate of acceleration is possible. I can't vouch for a turbo, but my busa pulls like a frieght train...oh yeah the average stats on the bike show that with a pro rider the bike will accelerate from 0-60mph in 2.75s and with an average rider 3.2s. With a turbo it can be as low as 2.2s depending on suspension setup and weight loss etc.

Research is your friend...

I agree with you the clown in the video did do something to his speedo, and I personally don't think that that motorcycle is turbocharged, BUT.

Just a little info for ya...... http://www.dixonarchive.com/hayabusa/performance1.htm Take a look near the bottom to see what each gear is good for. REMEMBER THIS IS ON A STOCK MOTORCYCLE. Just imagine a turbocharged bike.
If you're too lazy to look here ya go..

"1st Gear : 135 Kph
2nd Gear : 185 Kph
3rd Gear : 230 Kph
4th Gear : 275 Kph
5th Gear : 305 Kph
6th Gear :
??? Kph "

I wasn't trying to start a scrap, just letting you know that it is possible to go that fast on a street bike..sheesh someone is sensitive. . There are quite a few people with verified gps reading of 210+mph readings with turbos though.
