Default any suggestions?

Hi all, new member here.....I just bought my son his first car(Heaven help us). It's an 86 GT, 5.0, T5, Flowmasters, pretty much stock with a racing clutch. It was in pretty bad shape when we got it, been sitting under trees in a guys back yard for about 3 to 4 years. Anyway, it's slowly coming around with a fresh paint job (white with black), and a little interior work so far. I also found a scoop in a junk yard off an old mustang and mounted on the hood...Looks pretty sharp. I think I am enjoying tinkering with it as much as he is driving it.
My question is, does anyone have any suggestions that will bring it alive a little more (engine-wise) without my spending an arm and a leg on it? Also, I have heard a lot about King Cobra clutches....are they good or bad, and why?
Thanks for any help.

Pretty cheap....I wasn't going to spend a lot on a first car, and the further along we get on the car, the more I want to give him mine and take over the stang.

Nice Stang hotrodman, I will try to post some pics maybe tomorrow. I don't have any right now, and I'm kicking myself for not taking "before and after" pics. I paid a slight bit more than that for this one, but it's still pretty cheap. $1,000. The engine has less than 3,000 miles on a rebuild with a brand new t5 put in at the same time....I figure it was worth that much.
